Diary Entry: Tea at Jerviswood. Diary notes: Jerviswood (a house in Lower Green Road, Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells) was the home of KPD’s Uncle Claude Evershed (1867-1943) and his wife, Clara (c.1867-1960). Elaine Dell (KPD’s sister-in-law) also lived in the Tunbridge Wells area.

Diary Entry: Went to stay A[Aunt] Consie Tun Wells. Diary notes: ‘Aunt Consie’ is Edith Constance Beckwith Evershed (1868-1951), unmarried elder sister of Nellie Dell, and perhaps the closest of her Aunts to KPD, who visited and stayed with her on many occasions.

Diary Entry: Went to Hobart House, for medical A.T.S. & enrolled. Anthony to supper. Diary notes: Hobart House, in Whitehall, was one of the headquarters of the A.T.S. and KPD, like others, joined the organisation through it. After WW2 it seems to have become the headquarters of the National Coal Board.
