Diary Entry: “Chris” & Rowena came to see me. Diary notes: Strange that KPD put the name ‘Chris’ in inverted commas; perhaps a nickname… Incidentally 20th September 1942 was a Sunday, so perhaps that was why KPD didn’t go to the cinema.

Diary Entry: José came over & spent night here. Diary notes: José [McLelland] was a friend of KPD, and was also in the A.T.S. KPD socialised with her, and even went on holidays with her over some years.
