Diary Entry: Went to Trentham C.O.D. Near Newcastle-under-Lyme. Break & lunch Nantwich. Diary notes: ‘C.O.D.’ means ‘Central Ordnance Depot’. This was a return trip of just under 80 miles, assuming the ‘Trentham’ mentioned is the one near Stoke-on-Trent, which seems likely due to the other places mentioned.
