Diary Entry: Found car had been pinched. Diary notes: One of the most surprising entries in KPD’s diary – who would steal an (army) car in wartime? Why? Where would they get petrol? I wonder if it was ‘requisitioned’ by another part of the military, and so not really stolen?

Diary Entry: Cynthia (Walter) & Carol went away Diary notes: KPD was possibly replaced by a ‘Cynthia Beaumont’ at Rossholme in 1940. Could she have married and be this ‘Cynthia’?

Diary Entry: Mrs Tindall over. Stopped Woodbridge. Diary notes: The Tindalls were the parents and family of Peggy Dell – Anthony (KPD’s brother) had married Peggy (1910-1991), his first wife and mother of his two children, Grahame & Jennifer. Their home, Hill House at Ufford was near Woodbridge in Suffolk.
