Diary Entry: Returned to school.
Diary entry: As a former teacher I have been interested in noticing how much later school terms seem to have started in the 1940s. KPD seems to have had a full 3 months Summer holiday, which would be excessive today even for a private school such as she was working in, and ridiculous for a state school (6 weeks maximum was my experience – not that I expected any sympathy from non teaching friends!)
