Diary Date: 3rd July [1941]

Diary Entry: Saw Rossholme children. Went to Weston tea Miss Kidner. Read to the baby dormitory.

Diary notes:

Not for the first (or last) time KPD visited one of her previous employers, or some of her former colleagues. In fact Rossholme seems to have been a particular favourite of hers, and she quite frequently returned there over several years.

Miss Kidner was a friend who lived (& worked) in Weston-super-Mare; – the first mention of her in the diary is in 1938. Later KPD stayed with her when visiting the school after having left employment there. Given her previous jobs as a children’s nanny, it is possible that Miss Kidner was also one (they certainly had mutual friends in that line of work).
